‘Yuva Saathi’ registration camp overflows

The state’s interim budget was recently presented in the assembly. The state has announced several welfare schemes. One of them is the ‘Yuva Saathi’ scheme. This scheme has been started to provide financial assistance to unemployed youths of the state who have passed Secondary school for five years. As per the announcement, the registration process for this new scheme has started across the state from February 15. Along with other assemblies of the state, a camp has been opened for registration at Rabindra Bhavan in Asansol North assembly constituency. This process will continue till the 26th. A crowd has been seen submitting forms for the 'Yuva Saathi' scheme at the camp since morning. Apart from this, registration is being done here for the Kisan Bandhu and Lakshmi Bhandar schemes. State Law and Labour Minister Malay Ghatak, Paschim Bardhaman District Magistrate S Ponnabalam, Asansol Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Biswajit Bhattacharya, Puranigam Mayor Parishad Gurudas Chatterjee and other high-ranking administrative officials were present at the camp. Minister Malay Ghatak said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, about 95 public welfare projects are being run across the state. Another new project named 'Yuba Saathi' was launched today. He further said that the response and enthusiasm of the people who came here proves that people have faith in the project that is the brainchild of Mamata Banerjee. That is why they are all coming here to register their names.
