INTENSIVE CLEANLINESS AND SANITATION DRIVE UNDER SPECIAL CAMPAIGN 5.0 ACROSS ASANSOL DIVISION

Under the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0, Asansol Division of Eastern Railway continued extensive cleanliness and sanitation drives across stations and railway colonies ensuring improved hygiene and upkeep of railway premises.
At Madhupur, extensive vat cleaning was undertaken in the station premises along with drain and sweeping work at the Madhupur Post Office Colony. At Raniganj, an intensive station washing drive was conducted to enhance overall cleanliness. Similar efforts were made at Asansol station where the Foot Over Bridge was thoroughly washed to maintain hygiene and passenger convenience.
At Andal, drain and vat cleaning works were carried out in Colonies No. 9, 12 and 13 while similar activities were undertaken at Panagarh covering residential and operational areas. Pandabeswar station witnessed comprehensive platform cleaning ensuring a neat passenger-friendly environment.
Further, colony cleaning was executed at Jasidih and pond cleaning drives were organised at Sitarampur and Panagarh to remove stagnant water and prevent mosquito breeding. At Durgapur, intensive cleaning near the RRI installation was completed to ensure safety and operational efficiency in the signalling area.
The sustained efforts under Special Campaign 5.0 highlight the continuous focus of Asansol Division on maintaining a clean safe and hygienic railway environment for passengers and staff.
